Our Correction Policies

While theindiafirst.com continuously strives for excellence and accuracy, we accept the fact that we sometimes make mistakes. When these mistakes are made, theindiafirst.com will take responsibility for correcting the error and will maintain a high level of transparency to ensure that incorrect information is not spread.

Each party must take the following steps to achieve the goals of accuracy, transparency, and excellence:

Readers:
If a reader notices an error, he or she should immediately contact Editor-in-Chief Emily Wentland by email, phone, mail, or in person.

A correction is not officially submitted unless the reader contacts the Editor-in-Chief directly. Corrections submitted to other GulfHindi.com staff members may not be addressed in a timely manner, or at all.

Readers can expect a response from the Editor-in-Chief and may be contacted further if any clarification is needed or the Editor needs more information. Please note that submitting a correction is a guarantee that the error will be checked, but does not guarantee that a correction will be issued.

When the Editor-in-Chief becomes aware of an error, he will investigate the error using information provided by the reader, meeting minutes, the reporter’s recording, and any other information sources available to him.

If an error is found, the Editor-in-Chief will issue a correction in all forms that the information was incorrectly transmitted:

Corrections will be printed in the next published issue. The correction will include the issue, the article, and the correction itself along with the incorrect information.

The article will be corrected and an editor’s note will be added at the bottom of the article explaining what was wrong and when the article was changed.

Social media :

If the article was posted on Facebook, Twitter or another online medium controlled by theindiafirst.com, a post will be made noting the correction, linking to the corrected article.

Once the correction is made, the editor-in-chief will contact the reader who submitted the correction, and let them know the steps taken to correct the error.
